We skied across the north side of County Forest and west on to Southern Crossing this morning, and had a pleasant time. Of course we were using rock skis. The snow gauge is at 16 cm of loose snow, so there are only a few cm under your ski after the first pass. We encountered quite a few damp areas - we set new tracks in a number of locations as we returned, to avoid the yellow or wet tracks. We used our scraper a few times to remove ice. Given the weather forecast, I'm not planning to ski tomorrow, and in fact it may be quite a while before there are decent conditions again. Kolapore Trail Guide
